I mean pamper yourself. Sleep late one day. Stay up and watch that movie with your spouse. Spend that money and get those new shoes. Don’t feel guilty about doing what makes you happy. If you don’t, who will? I am a firm believer in treating myself to life’s pleasures that interest me. My hard work was not meant to solely pay bills. How many people have you heard say that?
Now this does not mean irresponsible and go overboard. This is not meant to increase your debt. Sometimes you will have to save over a period of time to enjoy your treat. Delayed gratification is just as sweet.
Our final topics are going to cover ways to enjoy your you time.
1. Try New Foods:
To enjoy a really good meal is one of life’s joys. Whatever your style of cuisine, food is a language we all speak. Eating the same old food can be uninspiring and boring. Some people think but cutting out certain foods it will help them loose weight more easily. While I am no medical professional and if you know because of your health or any other reason indulge in food in moderation.
Come on be a person that tries new foods your taste buds may enjoy. There is an unlimited variety of food and also good for your metabolism. You can choose some Chinese, Thai or any other food you like to eat throughout the whole month as this helps in gaining new minerals and vitamins in the body which we were losing out fast due to our habit of eating a single type of food. Though eating out daily can be very heavy for your pockets and you may lose out your budget soon. Instead, you should try to dine out once in a week with family and friends to experience something new and interesting.
2. Turn Your Phone Off:
When you are going forward to sleep, attending an important meeting, driving your car on a busy highway, spending time with your family or when focusing on something very important at work; then you don’t want your phone to disturb you at all. Smart phones are now everywhere, which are pre-loaded with application that connects not only through calls and messaging, but also by means of email, social media, what’s up and the list goes on. All this will keep us distracted from other important things on which we need to focus on more. So, instead of switching your smart phone off you can make it silent. In this way you will be aware of any emergency calls or notification that needs your attention.
3. Eat Clean and Exercise Daily:
Though this is present on everyone’s list of New Year Resolution but almost no one is able to accomplish it at all. There are few good reasons behind it that includes not paying attention to your eating habits and also not focusing on exercise properly. Also, eating unhealthy food all the time causes your body to be filled up with the toxins that become a hurdle between doing exercise regularly on a daily basis. So, get rid of eating unhealthy food and also schedule a proper time to exercise daily in the morning. Remember try to make a realistic plan on paper which is applied in real time and don’t try to be optimistic at all while designing a plan to exercise and eating healthy. If possible, then reach out to a good nutritionist and a gym instructor to guide you better.
4. Disappointments and Trials are Part of Life:
Life is not a bed of roses. There are challenges in everyone’s life that assist them to grow steadily. Each experience helps us to become stronger and more resilient human beings. Instead of thinking out ways to change the order of life which is not our hands; try to go with the currents and trust God that he will never let you down and it’s all part of a bigger plan that will produce a healthy result.
